Wild Snake River Salmon Recovery
This page is designed to give you information about the Columbia/Snake River wild salmon/steelhead recovery efforts and more importantly our current opportunity to restore these fish runs before they run out of time. In the next two years NOAA and the action agencies will be required to go through the National Environmental Protection Act process and the Endangered Species Act in developing the latest Columbia/Snake BiOp. This is an opportunity to voice your concerns, opinions about the wild salmon recovery plan. The Clearwater-Snake Rivers Chapter of Trout Unlimited encourages participation in this upcoming process. The photograph above shows how many wild and hatchery juvenile salmon travel through the hydrosystem on the Snake and Columbia rivers. They are loaded up on barges at Lower Granite Dam on the Snake River and transported to below Bonneville Dam on the Columbia River. Make your comments here.
